CT Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Monongahela, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (CT Technology)
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Shifts: Variable, rotating weekly with attempts to block shifts

  • 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
  • 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM
  • 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM (overnight shifts blocked Thursday-Saturday)
• Hours: 40 hours per week, typically 4 shifts of 10 hours each

Required Qualifications

• CT Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT (CT) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience with GE Healthcare imaging equipment required
• Government-issued photo ID required
• Must have a valid Pennsylvania state license for CT Technologists (primary source online verification required)

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, including:

  • Social Security trace
  • County searches for last 7 years of residence/work/school
  • Nationwide search
  • Sex offender registry
  • Pennsylvania statewide background check
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start (must be completed in PA)
• Education verification required (transcripts, diplomas, or third-party verifications accepted)
• 2 professional references within the last 3 years required

Certifications and Competencies

• ACLS and PALS certifications as applicable (check unit requirements)
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required as applicable
• Annual competency exams required
• Crisis management certifications (MAB or CPI) required if assigned to Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, or Acute Care units (online training accepted)

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, Q Gold, or TSpot) within 6 months of start or chest X-ray within 5 years
• Required vaccinations or positive titers (or facility-specific declination forms) for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella (Chicken Pox)
• Tdap vaccination within the past 10 years (declination accepted with form)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required during flu season (Nov-April); mask required if declined
• COVID vaccination or facility-specific declination required
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Alcohol breathalyzer test within 30 days of start (not required at some facilities)

Additional Facility Requirements

• Passport-style photo for badge
• Completion of facility-specific orientation packet and acknowledgements prior to start
• Completion of bloodborne pathogen quiz prior to start
• Completion of medical surveillance checklist prior to start
• Completion of vaccine declination forms if applicable

Candidate Restrictions

• No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
• First-time travel candidates are welcome

Notes

• Shifts rotate week to week with an effort to schedule in blocks
• Overnight shifts are blocked Thursday through Saturday when assigned
