Electrophysiology Tech - Travel/Contract
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Shift: Day shifts, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work primarily on Electrophysiology (EP) tech duties during day shifts.
- EP late/call coverage as needed.
- Unit welcomes first-time travelers.
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of Electrophysiology Technician experience within the last year.
Required Certifications and Licenses
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT(R) or CCI certification (appropriate for Radiology/Cardiology specialty)
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID
Required Documentation and Compliance
- 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually.
- Education verification confirming highest level of education.
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start.
- Physical exam within 12 months of start.
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually.
- Immunizations/vaccine documentation:
- Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years (no declinations except approved medical exemptions).
- Negative TB test (2-step PPD, QGOLD, or TSPOT) within 1 year. Positive results require additional documentation.
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters required if titers negative/equivocal.
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted.
- Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history required; boosters if titers negative/equivocal.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31).
Additional Requirements
- Completion of unit-specific skills checklist annually.
- Work history verification covering 7 years.
- Completion of employment application/resume.
- Color blindness test (online version accepted).
- Competency exams as applicable to profession (minimum passing score 80% or meet Angoff score).
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgment and HIPAA compliance.
Notes
- Scrubs provided (Royal Blue).
- Prior travel experience is not required.
- Fingerprinting and certain background checks may apply depending on location but are not universally required for this position.
