Shift Details
- Variable day shifts: 4x10-hour shifts or 2x8-hour shifts plus 2x12-hour shifts
- Typical start time: 6:45 AM
- No weekends or on-call required
- Shift examples: 6:45 AM–3:15 PM, 6:45 AM–5:15 PM, 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
- Must be flexible with shift scheduling
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of Operating Room (OR) experience
- At least 2 years of intraoperative neuromonitoring experience
- Prior travel experience is not required
- First-time travelers accepted
Certifications and Licenses
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA only)
- Certified Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) certification highly preferred but not required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Experience as a Multimodal Technologist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Facility Highlights
- Level I Trauma, Magnet, and Teaching hospital
- Approximately 500 staffed beds
- Scrub color: Any solid color scrubs allowed; light blue scrubs provided on unit
- Charting system: Epic with hard stops
- Parking available onsite and offsite with shuttle service (weekday only)
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Comprehensive background checks including nationwide, sex offender, FACIS Level 1, and state-specific searches
- Education verification as applicable
- Drug screening within past 12 months required (pending drug screens at start subject to discretion)
- Photo for badge required (professional, waist-up, clear lighting, simple background)
- Various facility-specific forms and acknowledgments must be completed and signed prior to or at orientation
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year (not required by facility but required for agency)
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start (specific mask models required)
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years or declination on file
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start; annual TB questionnaire required
- Required immunizations or titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (with titers or declination)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Sept 29 - Mar 31)
- COVID vaccination or declination required for tracking purposes
Competency Exams and Training
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for certain units (check facility specifics)
- Orientation testing is pass/fail with an 80% passing score required
- Additional competency exams may be required depending on unit assignment
Additional Notes
- No weekend or on-call shifts required
- Locals accepted; no pending license acceptance
- Floating outside scope is not required
- Block scheduling accommodation not available
