Schedule

  • Night shift
  • 3x12 hours
  • 19:00 to 7:00
  • 36 hours per week

Assignment Details

  • 13-week contract
  • Observation unit
  • May float within scope to acute care or sitter
  • May float during the shift to CV recovery, PACU, and Short stay unit

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Oregon
  • DOU - Direct Observation Unit (2 years of experience)
  • DOU - Direct Observation Unit experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience working with Pediatric patients
  • Experience with Epic

Preferred

  • NRP

Other Requirements

  • Weekend coverage per unit needs
  • No on-call
  • Maximum 7 days of RTO in the 13-week assignment
  • Background check required within 90 days of start
  • Diploma or transcript required
  • Education verification required
  • State license verification required
  • NURSYS verification required
  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
  • Competency exam as applicable
  • Physical exam required within 1 year of start
  • Tdap within 10 years of start
  • Negative TB or chest X-ray required
  • TB questionnaire required annually
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation required
  • Negative 12-panel drug screen required within 90 days of start
  • Flu vaccination or declination/exemption required during flu season
  • COVID vaccination record preferred if previously vaccinated; declination or exemption required if never vaccinated
  • Respiratory safety clearance required within 1 year of start
  • Skills checklist required annually
