Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Dayton, Ohio
• Night shift: 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
• 13-week contract option
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Must work every other holiday
• No block schedule

Unit

• 35-bed medical and radiation oncology unit
• Mixed acuity unit with Med Surg and Advanced Care patients
• Specializes in oncology and hematology patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• Oncology experience
• Experience with Epic
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Some 1:5 ratio experience in Work History for SD or PCU
• Must float to all Stepdown/Advanced Care units
• Ability to read and interpret strips
• Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting
• Current resume/application
• 2 references from within 2 years of start, with 1 from a Manager, Supervisor, or Charge RN
• Skills checklist within 1 year prior to documentation due date and updated annually
• Physical exam within 2 years of start
• Negative TB or chest X-ray
• Drug screen within 12 months prior to documentation due date
• Annual health questionnaire
• Candidate agreement
• Respiratory protection medical questionnaire and RespSafety clearance
• Employment application
• Work history verification if 2 professional references cannot be obtained

Preferred

• Sickle cell experience
• Chemo certified
• Some level 1 or 2 experience
• Travel experience

Additional Notes

• Targeted patient ratio is 1:4, with ratios up to 1:5–6
• Travelers are first to float at discretion of the facility
• May float within specialty clusters and to medically appropriate assignments, including high-risk respiratory unit/COVID
• If assigned to the main campus, floating may include south campus and north campus
• Navy blue scrubs
• RTO must be requested with initial submittal; no RTO added after offer
