Travel/Contract Registered Nurse Job

Overview

• Shift: Day, 3x12 hours (7:00 AM–7:30 PM)
• Hours per week: 36
• Unit focus: MS/Tele float

Key responsibilities

• Must be open to floating to any MS/Tele, SD/PCU, or possibly ICU unit depending on skills and need.
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend or 2 weekends per month.

Required qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Float (1 year of experience)
• Float experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
• NIHSS, can be obtained after offer
• Must be able to pass EKG testing before the start date
• Must complete a unit-specific skills checklist within the last year
• Must provide 2 supervisory references from employers worked for in the past 3 years
• Must have 7 years of work history on the application with no gaps over 30 days without explanation

Additional screening and onboarding

• Drivers license or state ID required
• Background check required
• Drug testing required
• Color blind testing required within 12 months prior to start
• Physical exam required within 12 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray required within 1 year of start
• TB questionnaire required
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for applicable start dates
• Photo required for badge

• Travelers requesting time off during listed holidays or holiday weeks will not be accommodated.
• Local candidates within 75 miles are paid less than travelers.
