Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse

Job Overview

• Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan
• Employment type: Travel/Contract

• Shift: Day, 3x12 hours (7:00 AM–7:30 PM)
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday requirement: Must work 2 of 3 holidays
• Call: None
• Block scheduling: Not guaranteed

Unit Details

• Cardiovascular telemetry unit
• Typical patient ratio: 1:5–6, with call-ins up to 1:7
• Unit includes cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and overflow medical patients as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• 1 year of telemetry experience
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS

• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• Charting system: Cerner Powerchart
• Background check required within 90 days of start
• Physical exam required
• Negative 12-panel drug screen required within 30 days of start
• TB clearance required before start
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required prior to start during flu season
• Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B documentation required
• Fit mask testing required within one year of start
• Employment application required
• Confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement required
• Pre-start modules must be completed before the assignment begins
