Job Overview

Required Qualifications

• Valid Alaska LPN/LVN license in hand
• One completed travel assignment
• 1 year of Long Term Care experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or Heart&Stroke Foundation

Schedule and Work Expectations

• On-call is not required
• Floating within scope may be required
• Block scheduling is not available
• Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays
• More than 2 weeks of requested time off will not be considered for a 26-week contract
• Local candidates are not accepted

• 40 staffed beds
• Charting system: ECS

• Parking is free
• Shuttle transportation is available between Anchorage and Seward at the beginning and end of the assignment
• Local shuttle transportation is available in Seward

• Alaska Food Worker Certification is completed onsite during orientation and has a one-time $10 fee
• Float policy acknowledgement is required
• Photo for badge is required
• Alaska background check is required
• Drug screen is required
• Physical exam is required
• Fit mask clearance is required
• Respirator safety clearance is required
• TB screening is required
• Flu documentation or declination is required during flu season
• COVID vaccination documentation or declination is required
• Employment application must include at least the last 5 years of employment
• Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
