Overview
- Travel/Contract assignment in Anchorage, Alaska
- 13 or 26 weeks
- Night shift: 3x12 or 4x12
- First timers accepted: Yes
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend
- On-call: No
- Block scheduling: No
- Locals accepted: No; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- May float to like units if needed
- Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- AWHONN Intermediate
- AWHONN Advanced
- EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
- Experience with Epic
Preferred
- Charge experience
Unit Information
- High Risk L&D unit
- OB Triage/Testing: 5-10
- 7-14 LD/Antepartum
- 10 OB Triage rooms
- 10 LDR rooms
- 3 OR suites
- 4 PACU rooms
- Average daily deliveries around 7, often up to 14 patients with inductions and high risk antepartum
- OB Triage averages 4-5 third trimester testing patients, plus an influx of triage patients each day
