Job Summary

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
• Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Care for patient populations including Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Adult, and Telemetry.
• Must self-study telemetry strips upon acceptance; a basic dysrhythmia test will be administered during the first week and must be passed to continue working on the Telemetry/Med Surg unit.
• ACLS certification required.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Iowa.
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent).
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC acceptable).
• Minimum years of specialty experience: Not explicitly stated (default to typical MedSurg/Telemetry RN experience; no conflicting data).

• Drug Screen (9 panel, within 30 days of start).
• Skills Checklist (completed within 12 months).
• EPLS/GSA/SAM HHS/OIG checks (within 30 days of start).
• OSHA Questionnaire (completed by candidate).
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (American Heart Association or Apex Innovations only).
• License/Certificate Verification (primary source verification within 30 days of start).
• Other standard onboarding documents and attestations as required.
