Job Description
- Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts (06:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Rotating call required
- Role: OR Circulator RN proficient in orthopedic, neurological, robotics, urology, vascular, and burn surgeries
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 5 years of RN Surgery experience
- Minimum 5 years of Orthopedics experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in Neurology (Neurosurgery)
- Experience in Robotics
- Experience in Urology
- Experience in Vascular Surgery
- Experience in Burn care
Health and Compliance Requirements
- COVID-19 vaccine or approved exemption accepted
- Influenza vaccine required during flu season (medical or religious exemptions accepted with proper documentation)
- Proof of immunizations or positive titers for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap (declinations accepted with required documentation)
- Negative TB test (QuantiFERON or 2-step skin test) within one year prior to start
- Annual TB questionnaire completed within 6 months of start
- Fit test for N95 mask (3M 1860, 1860s, or 1870+) within one year prior to start, updated annually
- Health statement signed within one year of start confirming ability to work without restrictions
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start
Professional and Background Requirements
- Resume/profile submission required
- Criminal background check within 30 days prior to start, including SSN address trace, county and national checks, education and employment verification (last 5 years), and driving record
- Skills checklist specific to unit and scope of practice within one year prior to start, updated annually
- Competency exams and core competencies (HIPAA, safety, infection control, etc.) current within one year prior to start with passing score of 80% or higher
- Badge photo (forward-facing, well-lit, neutral background, JPEG)
Additional Testing and Documentation
- Eye exam including Ishihara Color Test and Snellen Vision test within one year prior to start
