Job Opportunity: RN Surgery (LTA)

Location: Chicago, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Must have 2 years of OR experience in a busy OR department.
  • EPIC experience is required.
  • On-call requirements:
    • One night every 2 weeks
    • One weekend every 6 weeks
  • Work hours:
    • Day shift from 06:45 to 15:15
    • Five 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
    • Day hours may extend depending on case load

Required Experience

  • Specialty: RN Surgery
  • Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years OR experience
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Required Credentials & Certifications

  • Licenses:
    • Valid Driver's License, State ID, or Passport
    • Nursys license verification
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
    • ACLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
    • PALS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
    • NIHSS
    • DCI/BVP
  • Exams & Testing:
    • Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80%)
    • Prime Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening (minimum 80%)
    • Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80%)
    • Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80%)
    • Prime Skills Checklist (submission required)

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • COVID-19 Vaccine: 2 doses plus booster or completed declination
  • MMR: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer showing immunity
  • Hepatitis B vaccination (declinations not accepted at some locations)
  • Influenza Vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
  • TB Test within 1 year of start date
  • Varicella vaccination or titer showing immunity
  • Tdap vaccination (declinations not accepted at some locations)
  • Annual TB Questionnaire
  • Physical/Health Statement: Must be cleared to work, completed annually or within 60 days of start

Additional Requirements

  • National Criminal Background Check within one year of start date
  • Prime Agency Attestation and Education Verification
  • Social Security Card or Passport
  • Prime Badge Photo (clear headshot)
  • Prime Form I-9 (Employment eligibility verification)
  • Onboarding Education Attestation (must be completed prior to start)
  • Fit Test: Annual respirator fit test required; must be completed prior to start for Illinois locations
