Registered Nurse (Medical/Surgical) - Night Shift

Location: Maywood, Illinois
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (12 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (36 hours/week, every third weekend)
Unit: General Medicine (4NW)

Job Description

Provide nursing care on a Medical/Surgical unit during night shifts.
Work schedule includes 36 hours per week with every third weekend required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required for patient care.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

License and certification verifications must be dated within 30 days of start.
All required documentation must be uploaded to the credentialing system prior to onboarding.
Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
This is a long-term assignment lasting approximately 12 weeks.

This position is ideal for experienced Medical/Surgical RNs seeking night shift work in a general medicine unit with comprehensive credentialing and compliance requirements.

Pros

Some of the staff are nice and helpful. Pretty big department.

Cons

Assignments can be heavy, got told I would be Neo/Peds, but I get floated everywhere (adults floors/ICU). Have to pay to park ($2/day) in further garage or $5 in closer garage. And the worst is 8hr assignments!
