Job Overview

Seeking a competent and professional Registered Nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery to provide direct patient care in a travel nursing capacity. The role involves comprehensive assessment, clinical skills, patient education, and collaboration within the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
• Deliver competent and appropriate nursing care specific to Labor & Delivery patients.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing processes, patient progress, and education.
• Adhere to professional standards, policies, and procedures, identifying opportunities for clinical growth.
• Promote patient and family satisfaction by responding professionally and maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and patient identification procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical patient care, anesthesia types, and related procedures.
• Prioritize and direct patient care based on patient needs and condition changes.
• Provide pre-operative and postoperative patient education and assessments.
• Support Pre Admission Testing (PAT) by evaluating orders for appropriateness and completeness.

Requirements

• Current RN License (New Jersey)
• ACLS Certification (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Physical Requirements

• As defined by Occupational Safety/OMS standards
