Cardiovascular Technologist II
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Clinical Technician
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Job Summary
Provide specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patients under general to limited supervision. Support medical staff in diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex cardiovascular conditions using advanced imaging equipment and techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered care in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, urgent care, and outreach clinics.
- Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician orders.
- Perform a range of diagnostic, interventional, and surgical imaging procedures within scope of practice guidelines.
- Conduct post-procedure reviews independently to ensure completeness and technical quality per protocols and accreditation standards.
- Transfer images and data to archival systems, enter technical findings, and prepare studies for physician reporting.
- Perform operator-level quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfection of equipment following manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in continuing education, professional development, and research to maintain competencies and improve care.
- Provide instruction, mentorship, and in-service training to less experienced team members.
- Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate’s degree or higher, or completion of a Paramedic training program.
Certifications & Licensure
- Valid Cardiovascular Technologist license in Oklahoma.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
- ARRT Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) certification.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist, with experience within the last year.

The unit I was on was mostly made up of travel nurses, which they seem the hire some of the laziest people I’ve ever met. There is a reason they offer such a high pay rate because this place is horrible.
