Perform all nursing responsibilities specific to the NICU unit.
Implement procedures and theories related to neonatal nursing care.
Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care for use by the healthcare team.
Complete initial patient assessments upon admission and develop appropriate plans of care based on patient and family needs.
Implement and modify plans of care through continuous evaluation.
Ensure patient and employee safety by reporting or correcting hazards and incidents.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and provide constructive feedback to support professional development.
Identify personal learning needs and take initiative for improvement.
Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.
Monitor intake and output of neonatal patients.
Assist mothers with breastfeeding initiation and baby-friendly care.
Administer medications using proper bar code scanning.
Participate in multi-disciplinary rounds to report on patient assignments.

Valid RN license in Illinois
Minimum 3 years of experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
NRP certification
Experience with Epic electronic health record system
