Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Modified Care Unit

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Modified Care Unit, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of primarily adult patients in an inpatient setting. This role requires competency in delivering care to patients needing closer cardiac monitoring and assessment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in Cardiac Telemetry Care.
• Ability to work with a diverse patient population including those with myocardial infarction (MI), congestive heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), strokes, stable arrhythmias, and other conditions requiring cardiac monitoring.
• Professional nursing knowledge typically acquired through at least two years of education at an accredited School of Nursing.

Education Requirements

• Required: Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Wisconsin or a Multi-state Nursing License through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers or equivalent.
• AHA HeartCode Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers or equivalent.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of telemetry experience, including telemetry experience within the last year.
• Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Experience working with patients diagnosed with myocardial infarction (MI), congestive heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), strokes, and stable arrhythmias.
• Experience caring for patients requiring closer cardiac monitoring and assessment.
