Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Travel Position

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (8-hour shifts, varied start times, Monday-Friday)
Weekend: Generally no weekends required
Holiday Call: Not applicable
On Call: Possible low census on-call; minimum 2-hour callback pay
Floating: May be required to float to nearby locations if needed

Job Description

• Perform general nuclear medicine studies including common exams such as bone scan, renal, HIDA, gastric emptying, thyroid, lymphoscintigraphy, cardiac, and parathyroid scans
• Use equipment including Symbia Evo SPECT, Symbia Intevo SPECT/CT, Capintec Thyroid probe, and Siemens Biograph Vision X PET/CT Scanner
• Knowledge of SPECT/CT and/or PET/CT preferred; training provided
• Charting experience with Epic and Merge PACS (training provided)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
• Associate’s degree in relevant field
• Certifications: BLS, ARRT(N) or CNMT (AHA or ARC certification required)
• Must comply with flu and COVID vaccination policy or wear a mask at all times during flu season

Additional Information

• Traveler must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week (except during holidays when unit is closed)
• Eligible for up to 36 hours of unbillable low census hours per contract
• Scrub attire: any color or print, must be clean and work appropriate
• Call back minimum pay is 2 hours if called in from on-call status
