Registered Nurse — Cardiovascular Operating Room

Location

Wausau, Wisconsin

Job Type

Travel

Schedule

Monday through Friday, various day shifts
8-hour shifts
On-call requirements include 1 night per week, 1 weekend per month, and 1 backup call per week
Every 3rd–4th weekend and holiday rotation

Contract

13 weeks
Start date: ASAP
40 guaranteed hours per week

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Wisconsin
CVOR experience with 3 years of experience
CVOR experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Driver's License
Anesthesia experience
Experience with conscious sedation
OR - Operating Room experience
Experience with Epic

Key Responsibilities / Experience

Strong OR/CVOR circulating experience
Assisting with anesthesia-related procedures, including intubations, arterial lines, central lines, lumbar drains, Swan Ganz catheters, IV starts, lab draws, medication pumps, Belmont, Cell Saver, and Level I
Supporting heart surgeries, traumas, elective surgeries, and general surgeries

Additional Notes

Vehicle required due to 30-minute OR response time
Epic is used for charting
2-week orientation with training for additional anesthesia skills
Scrub colors provided
