OR RN Traveler (Day/Evening Rotation 4x10 or 3x12)
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Rotational shifts including day and evening with weekends and call.
- Rotation includes 2 weeks of night shifts per contract.
- Shift options:
- 4x10 schedule:
- Days: 7:00 AM–5:30 PM (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri), 9:00 AM–7:30 PM (Wed)
- Evenings: 1:00 PM–11:00 PM
- Weekend shifts on 4x10 are 12-hour shifts; other shifts during the week may be 8 or 10 hours to meet contracted hours.
- 3x12 schedule:
- Days: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri), 9:00 AM–9:30 PM (Wed)
- Evenings: 11:00 AM–11:00 PM
- Includes at least 2 short calls each 4-week schedule and weekend coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Health and Safety Requirements
- N95 Fit Test completed within 365 days prior to start date and updated annually (no religious or medical exemptions).
- Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation required if fit test is required.
- Documentation of TB screening within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test) and updated if there is a break >6 months.
- Documentation of MMR immunity (two measles, two mumps, one rubella vaccine or two MMR vaccines) or proof of immunity via blood test.
- Physician Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date and updated if break >6 months.
- Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity is strongly preferred but optional.
- Tdap vaccination within 10 years is preferred but optional.
- If positive TB test, documentation of a negative chest x-ray after positive test is required.
Background and Credentialing
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start date and updated if break >6 months.
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date and updated if break >6 months.
- National Sex Offender Registry check within 30 days prior to start and updated annually.
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start and updated annually.
- Social Security Number trace as part of criminal background check.
- Education verification of highest level achieved (not required for CNA).
- Submission of a recent color badge photo (taken within past 6 months, plain background, no glasses, no filters).
- Confirmation of Assignment/POI form required for all initial assignments and extensions.
Submission Requirements
- Resume with 7 years of work history.
- Two references (minimum one supervisor or above).
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year.
- Candidate submission coversheet (required for initial assignment and new facility submissions).
- License/certification verification.
- Badge photo for onboarding.
Additional Notes
- No religious or medical exemptions allowed for N95 fit testing.
- Fit testing cannot be done onsite; must be completed prior to start.
- Some health updates can be done at specific locations if assignment is extended.
- Name change documentation required if legal name differs from credential documents.
