Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Location: Salem, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every other weekend (EOW)
Hours: 36 hours per week

Job Description

• Float Pool RN position requiring willingness to float to 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units throughout the hospital.
• Responsible for cardiac monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting telemetry strips every 4 hours.
• Perform cardiac drips and manage telemetry strips.
• Patient population includes ED border patients, acute mental health medication nursing, and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients.
• Clinician-to-patient ratio: up to 6:1 on nights.
• Charting system: EPIC.
• Bed counts on units range from 8 to 41 beds.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
• 2 years or more of total travel nursing experience
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
• ACLS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing

• Rotation includes days/evenings with 1 to 3 night shifts per contract.

• Background checks and credential verifications are required and must be updated if breaks in employment exceed specified durations.

This position is ideal for experienced telemetry RNs comfortable with floating across multiple units and managing complex cardiac patients during night shifts.
