Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Work schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each, Monday through Friday
• Role: Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) to work in Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) lab
• Prior PFT experience is highly preferred
• Lab equipment/software: Morgan Scientific and Compas2

Experience Requirements

Credentials & Certifications Required

• License/Certificate Verification: Professional license verification required prior to start; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted
• BLS Certification: Required (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted; AHA preferred)
• Fit Test: N95 fit test within 365 days of start date, updated annually
• MMR Vaccination or Immunity Proof: Documentation of measles, mumps, rubella vaccines or immunity required
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions allowed
• TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or blood test within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break
• Health Statement: Physician statement within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break
• Criminal Background Checks:

  • MGB Criminal Background Check within 45 days prior to start
  • Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start
  • National Sex Offender Check within 30 days prior to start and updated annually
  • Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start and annually
• Resume: Include past 7 years of work experience with city & state
• References: 2 recent references required, at least 1 supervisor or above in skillset
• Skills Checklist: Required for submission
• Respirator Medical Clearance (RMC) Attestation: Required if fit test is required for skill

Additional Notes

• Photo submission required for onboarding (color photo, no filters, plain background)
• Hepatitis B vaccine strongly preferred but optional
• Tdap vaccine preferred but optional
• Positive PPD requires negative chest x-ray documentation (optional)
• No religious or medical exemptions allowed for flu vaccine or fit testing
• All documentation must be current and updated as specified
