Job Opportunity: RN Endovascular Neurosurgery

Location: Florence, South Carolina
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM


Job Description

  • Provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing neuro endovascular procedures.
  • Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical exams, and diagnostic data.
  • Plan and implement individualized nursing care tailored to holistic, age-specific patient needs.
  • Administer nursing interventions consistent with physician-prescribed medical plans and standards of practice.
  • Demonstrate competency in nursing skills relevant to the procedure suite, including moderate sedation, point of care testing, contrast injector use, sheath removal, and operation of physiological monitoring systems.
  • Perform patient safety initiatives such as patient identification, effective communication, clinical alarms, infection control, and universal protocol adherence.
  • Carry out physician’s orders, including telephone/verbal orders and medication reconciliation.
  • Complete procedural paperwork including consent forms, pre/post-procedure checklists, and documentation.
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Administer medications, blood, and blood products according to policy.
  • Participate in code management including crash cart and rapid response.
  • Provide education and support related to pre- and post-operative care.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in South Carolina
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum 1 year of neurology experience within the last year
  • Experience in neurosurgery nursing
  • Experience in cardiac catheterization lab (Cardiac Cath Lab)
  • ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Additional Information

  • Fit testing for respiratory protection equipment is required within one year of start.
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
