Job Summary
Seeking an Interim Radiology Manager to oversee the Radiology Department within Diagnostic Imaging. This role involves managing approximately 40 direct reports, including general X-ray, MRI, and Mammography technologists. The manager will support all shifts, primarily working day shift hours, and play a key role in departmental operations such as recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, budgeting, supply management, and quality assurance. The position also involves assisting with the transition from Cerner to EPIC EMR systems.
Required Qualifications
- Specialty: Radiology Manager
- Years of Experience: Minimum 3 years of previous management experience preferred
- Licensure: Must be currently ARRT registered in at least one imaging modality
- Experience with GE and Philips imaging systems preferred
- Experience with Workday and UKG systems preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Manage staff and daily operations of the Radiology Department
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Assist with budgeting, supply management, and capital equipment procurement
- Ensure regulatory compliance and quality assurance
- Collaborate with other modality managers as part of the Diagnostic Imaging leadership team
- Support EMR transition from Cerner to EPIC
Additional Requirements
- Must be available to support all shifts, primarily day shift
- This is a salaried assignment based on 40 hours per week regardless of hours worked
Required Certifications and Compliance
- ARRT registration (current)
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC acceptable)
- Completion of drug screening (9 panel, excludes THC) within 30 days of start
- COVID-19 vaccine or declination accepted
- MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap vaccinations or positive titers/declinations accepted
- Fit test for respirators completed prior to start
- TB test completed within the past year or appropriate documentation if history of positive test
- Health statement (physician statement within last 12 months)
- Valid Driver’s License/State ID
- Background check including 7 years of residence and work history within 30 days of start
- Adult and Child Abuse clearance (Iowa state requirement)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Skills checklist completed within 12 months
- OSHA questionnaire completed by candidate
- Influenza vaccine or facility declination (seasonal requirement)
Verification and Documentation
- Education verification through third party
- License/certificate verification (primary source) within 30 days of start
- Professional references (2 required, including 1 supervisor)
- Resume/profile submission required
- I-9 attestation on agency letterhead
This position requires strong leadership skills, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to manage a large team within a dynamic radiology environment.
