Job Opportunity: RN Medical/Surgical

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide nursing care on a medical/surgical unit.
Must have 2 or more years of medical/surgical nursing experience.
Ability to interpret heart rhythms and monitor patients on telemetry.
Prior travel experience is required.
Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
May need to float onsite within skill set or to nearby sites within 40 miles as needed.
Work schedule includes every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH).

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin.
Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical and telemetry nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.

Additional Information

Must complete annual updates for certain certifications and health screenings.
Clinical skills checklist to be completed within one year of start and updated annually.
May be required to complete additional unit-specific checklists.
Must be able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

This position is ideal for experienced medical/surgical RNs with prior travel nursing experience who are comfortable working in a telemetry environment and using EPIC.
