Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

• Labor and Delivery nursing position
• 36 hours per week, night shift

Required Qualifications

Licensure

• Valid RN license in California
• Primary source verification of professional license required within 30 days of start and updated upon expiration

Experience

• Specialty: Labor and Delivery

Certifications

• BLS (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• NRP (completed through AAP NRP learning platform)
• AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring (required every 2 years)

Health and Immunization Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccine and booster or approved exemption (proof or exemption must be submitted for approval)
• MMR: Proof of 2 immunizations, positive IGG titer, or booster/declination accepted
• Hepatitis B: Proof of 3 immunizations and positive antibody titer, or booster/declination accepted
• TB Test: Negative test within 30 days of start, updated annually; if positive, additional documentation required
• Varicella: Proof of 2 immunizations, positive titer, or declination accepted
• Tdap: Vaccination within past 10 years or declination accepted
• Influenza vaccine required October through March unless exempted
• Drug screen: 9 panel (minus THC), within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Health statement signed within 1 year confirming ability to work without restrictions, updated annually
• COVID test required on start date for clinical staff

Background and Compliance

• Criminal background check within 30 days prior to start, including 7-year county, national, SSN trace, employment verification, and federal exclusions
• Manual OIG, EPLS, OFAC, and National Sex Offender searches within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Verification against state healthcare exclusion lists within 30 days prior to assignment and with each extension
• Confirmation of assignment/job description and policy packet acknowledgment required
• Dispute resolution agreement and confidentiality receipt required
• Badge photo with neutral background, no facial jewelry

Documentation

• Resume/profile submission required
• Two professional references required (one supervisory minimum)
• Education verification (diploma, degree, transcripts, or board certification) prior to first assignment and upon requalification
• Skills checklist specific to clinical role required within 1 year of start
