Job Opportunity: CT/X-ray Technician (Radiology Technician)

Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Work night shifts: 7 PM to 7 AM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
  • Perform radiologic procedures according to department protocols and regulatory standards (HFAP, TJC, CMS, State and Federal regulations)
  • Serve as the first line interface with patients/customers to meet imaging needs
  • Responsible for processing and transmitting images to PACS
  • Use mobile and stationary radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment
  • Utilize Epic Charting System

Required Qualifications

  • Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by the State of Texas for Radiologic Technologists
  • ARRT (R)(CT) certification required
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certification
  • Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited radiologic technology program
  • Venipuncture certification (proficient in starting IVs for contrast injections)
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
  • Familiarity with State and Federal regulations

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (acute, clinical radiology experience preferred)

Immunization and Health Requirements

  • COVID-19 vaccination and booster (or completed declination)
  • MMR immunity proof (vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination (declinations not accepted)
  • Influenza vaccine or declination (declinations not accepted)
  • Varicella immunity proof
  • Tdap vaccination (declinations not accepted)
  • TB test within one year of start date (optional but recommended)
  • Annual respirator fit test (must be completed prior to start if not available onsite)
  • Physical/Health statement annually, must state clear to work
  • Drug screening: minimum 10-panel test within 60 days of start date

Additional Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport
  • National Criminal Background Check within one year of start date (must be completed before assignment in Texas)
  • Completion of required competency exams and checklists (Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Specialty Exam, Prime Skills Checklist) with a minimum score of 80%
  • Completion of orientation packet, job description acknowledgment, and education verification
  • Workplace Violence Prevention training
  • Prime Agency Attestation and other professional attestations as required
  • Two professional references (one from a manager or direct supervisor)
  • Resume reflecting accurate and recent work history

This position is ideal for Radiology Technicians with at least one year of clinical experience who are comfortable working night shifts and meeting comprehensive credentialing and immunization requirements.
