Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER) (Nights)

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for night shifts. The unit has 34 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1. Patient population is mixed acuity, including drips and titrations. Float opportunities available to a freestanding ED campus.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Current certifications:
- Trauma Nursing Core Competency Certificate (TNCC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by American Heart Association
Experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system

Orientation & Scheduling

Orientation dates available: June 15 and June 22
Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours
Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)

Float opportunity to Marion ED (freestanding campus)

Prior travel experience is mandatory for this role.
