The Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Stroke Unit involves:

Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care for patients.
Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards.
Being accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by oneself and others under their direction.
Utilizing specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to provide appropriate care based on the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

Experience:
- 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience (required).
- 2 years of experience caring for stroke patients (required).
Willingness: Must be willing to take Telemetry patients as needed.
Licensure/Certifications:
- Active RN license.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification (must be completed via NIHStrokeScale.org).
- COVID-19 vaccination (declinations not accepted).

Profile Requirements:
- GBMC cover page.
- Resume.
- 2 supervisory references (1 from within the last 6 months and 1 from the last 12 months).
- Skills checklist.
Time Off: Candidates may request time off equivalent to 1 week of contracted hours.
Orientation: RN and CNA orientations are held every other week on Tuesday and Wednesday.
