Job Opportunity: Electrophysiology Tech
Location: York, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (6 AM - 7 PM)
- No weekends, call, or holidays required
- Must be available to stay until the last patient is cared for
- Floating as needed
- Unit: Invasive Cardiology with multiple dedicated Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology labs
- Procedures include complex coronary interventions, ventricular assist devices (VAD/ECMO), structural heart procedures (TAVR, PFO/ASD closure), ablations, pacemaker/ICD implants, cardioversion, and more
- May care for COVID-19 patients
- Tobacco and fragrance-free facility environment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Electrophysiology Technician
- Electrophysiology Technician experience within the last year
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and fingerprinting (PA FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start)
- Education verification (highest level of education)
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel within 1 year (specific to agency requirements)
- Health documents required within 90 days of start, including:
- Physical exam signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP
- Immunizations and/or titers for Hepatitis B, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days (PPD not accepted)
- Flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccine or valid exemption/declination
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Respiratory safety clearance renewed annually
- Professional references: 2 required within 3 years
- Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable (including Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam)
- Facility-specific documents including photo for badge, confidentiality agreements, code of conduct, and health & wellness commitments must be reviewed and signed
- Completion of required Learning Management System (LMS) modules and new hire orientation by first day
Additional Information
- Maximum return-to-office (RTO) time: 7 days
- No weekend or holiday shifts
- Floating may be required as needed
- Facility maintains a tobacco and fragrance-free environment
This position offers a specialized role in a high-volume invasive cardiology unit with advanced cardiovascular procedures. Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced environment requiring strong technical skills and compliance with extensive credentialing and health requirements.
