Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Work Schedule

  • Dayshift, 8-hour shifts
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Weekend rotation required
  • No on-call duties

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in Wisconsin
  • Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Graduation from a School of Radiologic Technology
  • ARRT Registrations in Radiography (R) and CT
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Required Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA
  • ARRT Radiography and CT certifications
  • Additional certifications may be required based on unit assignment (e.g., ACLS, PALS)

Compliance & Background Requirements

  • Background check within 90 days prior to start, including multi-location search for past 7 years
  • Monthly monitoring through workforce monitoring systems
  • Education verification required for Radiologic Technologist
  • Wisconsin Caregiver Screening within 90 days of start
  • Drug screening per standard clinical requirements
  • Various facility-specific forms and acknowledgments (e.g., safety manual, pass/fail testing for telemetry if applicable)

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam (to meet agency standard)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility protocol
  • Immunizations or proof of immunity for:
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
    • Varicella
    • Hepatitis B (or declination form if declining)
    • Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required annually during flu season)
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (proof of one adult Tdap required)
    • Meningococcal vaccine or declination (if working in Microbiology)

Testing & Competency Exams

  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as applicable
  • Telemetry pass/fail testing if assigned to telemetry units (not typical for CT Tech but noted for facility compliance)
  • Orientation safety manual acknowledgment
  • Facility-specific competency exams and study guides as required

Additional Notes

  • Two clinical references within the last 3 years required (agency standard)
  • Employment application required
  • Annual skills checklist required
  • Photo for badge must meet facility specifications (passport-style, no headwear except for religious/medical reasons)

Prior Travel Experience

  • No explicit prior travel experience required for this position

This position is ideal for a licensed CT Technologist with solid clinical experience in CT imaging, who is comfortable working day shifts with weekend rotation in a travel contract role in Wisconsin.
