Job Details

Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
Float requirement: Must be willing and able to float to other units and facilities as needed
Experience: Minimum 2 years in preadmission testing/prepare clinic required
Preferred experience: Preop/PACU and Critical Care experience

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience, including experience within the last year
Experience in a Clinic setting
Pre-Op experience
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Preop/PACU and Critical Care settings

Additional Requirements & Information

Candidates must complete facility-specific documents including:
- Photo for badge (color photo with neutral background)
- Parking and uniform information acknowledgment
- COVID-19 preparedness and seasonal vaccination declination forms if applicable
- Annual TB questionnaire within 30 days of start
- Cyber Security Awareness Training and Quiz (passing score 80%)
- HIPAA Healthcare Provider Module and Quiz (passing score 80%)
- UCSF-specific confidentiality and acceptable use agreements
Uniforms: Scrubs provided for certain units; others must follow facility scrub color guidelines
COVID-19 vaccination is strongly recommended but not required as of current policy
Fit testing for masks may be completed onsite if necessary, with specific mask models required
