- Day shift, 5 days per week (8 hours per day)
- Typical hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- 40 hours per week
Job Description / Responsibilities
- Skilled in Moderate Sedation
- Experience with Transesophageal Echo, Cardioversion, Dobutamine Stress, Tilt Table Testing
- Active role requiring ambulation, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs
- Exposure to patients with contagious illnesses
- Facility operates 24/7, 365 days a year
- Rotating shifts, holidays, and inclement weather work required
- Must be able to:
- Work full contract term at assigned location
- Work full assigned shifts
- Take call
- Work assigned weekends
- Work at least 50% of holidays during contract
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of cardiology nursing experience within the last year
- Skilled in Moderate Sedation
- Experience with Transesophageal Echo, Cardioversion, Dobutamine Stress, and Tilt Table Testing
Background & Screening Requirements
- 7-year background check within 60 days of start, including:
- Alias/all names search
- Counties lived/worked/school
- National and federal criminal searches
- Sex offender search
- Social Security trace
- FACIS III/OFAC
- International background check if traveled outside the USA in last 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG exclusion checks within 60 days of start
- Missouri Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) or Missouri Caregiver background search required and must be on file before start (cannot start with both pending)
- Drug screening: Negative 7-panel drug test within 60 days of start
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (must be initiated within 48 hours of signing)
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start (specific mask models required)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination within 10 years or approved exemption
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within required timeframes; positive TB requires additional documentation and treatment proof
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 MMR vaccines required; boosters if titer low; no declinations accepted, medical exemptions require approval
- Hepatitis B series or positive/reactive titer required; declinations no longer accepted for new candidates after 7/1/2023
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters if titer low; no declinations accepted, medical exemptions require approval
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (10/01 - 03/31)
- All immunizations and health documents must be initiated within 48 hours of signing
Documentation & Compliance
- Proof of I-9 or attestation
- Valid photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation
- Primary source verification of Missouri RN license within 60 days of start
- NURSYS verification within 60 days of start
- Professional references: 2 required within last 2 years (not necessarily supervisors)
- Resume with minimum 7 years employment history, no gaps over 30 days, including education details
- Photo for badge (new candidates only)
- Completion of facility-specific forms including confidentiality agreement, new hire packet, TB survey, and employment eligibility certification
- Must complete MO FCSR Worker Registration Form within 48 hours of signing (time sensitive)
- Must comply with all facility-specific background and screening requirements
Physical & Work Environment
- Active role requiring physical stamina
- Exposure to contagious illnesses
- Must be able to work rotating shifts, holidays, and during inclement weather
Additional Notes
- No local travelers allowed within 50 miles of the facility
- This position requires the ability to take call and work weekends and holidays as assigned
- All certifications must be current and from approved organizations (AHA or ARC for BLS/ACLS/PALS)
- Candidates with positive TB must submit proof of INH treatment or sign facility-specific INH recommendation form
