Job Opportunity: Behavioral Health Registered Nurse
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (Behavioral Health)
- Unit: Adult Crisis Unit (Psychiatric)
- Schedule:
- 40 hours per week
- Day/Evening shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)
- Every Saturday and Sunday, plus additional days as available
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required to float within scope to meet facility needs, including to any age population as needed
- On-call: Not required
- Charge Nurse: May be required to work as charge nurse during shifts (no additional pay)
- First-time travelers: Accepted
- Locals: Accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
- Minimum 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

- One pre-approved return-to-office restriction allowed
Notes for Candidates
- Candidates must schedule and complete fingerprinting in Maryland at least 10 days prior to start date
- Fingerprint results may take 2-5 business days; candidates cannot start without fingerprint clearance unless an extension is approved
- Candidates are responsible for fingerprinting fees but can be reimbursed
- Candidates must bring a clear headshot photo on a white background for badge issuance
- Facility requires completion of multiple facility-specific documents prior to start (e.g., criminal background disclosure, informed consent, confidentiality agreements)
This position is suitable for Behavioral Health RNs with at least 2 years of experience who are flexible with weekend shifts and floating within psychiatric populations. First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply.
