Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology

Location: Columbia, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • Requires working one night weekday call and weekend call every 6 weeks.
  • Rotating shifts, holidays, and work during inclement weather are required.
  • Position is very active, involving ambulating, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs.
  • Routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses.
  • Facility operates 24/7, 365 days a year.
  • Must be able to work at assigned location for the full contract term, work substantial shift hours, take call, work assigned weekends, and at least 50% of holidays during the contract.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the specialty.
  • Prior travel experience is required.

Required Qualifications & Certifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri.
  • Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience, including experience within the last year.
  • Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Additional Requirements

  • Must provide 2 professional references from the last 2 years.
  • Resume must document at least 7 years of employment history with no gaps over 30 days.
  • Photo for badge (new candidates only).
  • Must complete state-specific background checks and caregiver registry searches as required by Missouri regulations.
  • Must be able to complete all required documentation and verifications within specified timeframes.

Physical and Work Environment

  • Active role requiring physical stamina and ability to handle patient care demands.
  • Exposure to contagious diseases is possible; appropriate precautions required.
  • Work schedule includes rotating shifts, holiday coverage, and call responsibilities.

This position is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses with prior travel contract experience who are flexible and able to meet the physical and scheduling demands of a busy interventional radiology environment.
