Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele Float)
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift options: 36 or 48 hours
- Contract options: 13 or 26 weeks
- Must float within scope to meet facility needs, including potential float to Bellevue campus
- Units may include:
- 4CS, 5 West, 6 Neuro, 4/5 Lied, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS, Observation, SOTU
- Drips required on all floors
- EPIC charting experience required
- First-time travelers NOT accepted unless they have 2 years experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center
- Care teams include CNAs, care techs, transport team, swoop/paramedics; LPNs assigned on some floors
- 100% nicotine-free facility
- Weekend shifts: 4 out of 8 possible in a 4-week period (Days: Sat & Sun; Nights: Fri & Sat)
- Return to Office (RTO) restrictions: Up to two weeks permitted; requests after confirmation at manager discretion
- Holiday requirement: Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
Experience & Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Minimum 2 years of prior RN experience required
- Must have 2 years experience in a large, urban hospital
- Prior travel experience: First timers not accepted unless 2 years at Level I Academic Medical Center (implies prior travel experience preferred but not explicitly required)
- EPIC charting experience required
- Must be willing to float within scope
Certifications & Licenses
- BLS required (ACLS strongly preferred)
- ACLS, PALS, NRP as applicable per unit
- Pending license accepted but must be in hand at time of submission or booking delayed 6 weeks
- State license verification and primary source verification required prior to start
- NURSYS verification required
- NIH Stroke Certification as applicable
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
Facility & Work Environment
- 100% nicotine-free
- Scrubs mandatory: Steele gray scrubs with facility logo (provided after confirmation)
- Parking available with permit or daily rates
- Locals not accepted (must live more than 100 miles from facility)
Background & Health Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID required
- Background check within 30 days of start, including federal enhanced search
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required and updated every 30 days
- Education verification required
- State-specific abuse/neglect registry check required
- Physical exam within 1 year, updated annually
- Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually
- Tdap vaccine within last 10 years
- Annual TB testing or equivalent documentation
- MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella vaccination or titer documentation required
- Drug screen within 60 days of start, updated annually
- Flu vaccine preferred but not mandatory; documentation or declination required
- COVID vaccine preferred; exemptions accepted
- Eye exam required for OR staff only

- Must submit 2 references from work within past 2 years
- Annual skills checklist required
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
