Job Details
- Start Dates: 12/15, 12/29
- Shift Options:
- 5x8 (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
- 4x10 (Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
- First-time Travelers: Not accepted
- On-Call: As needed
- Weekend Requirement: As needed
- Locals: Not accepted (100-mile radius rule)
- Licensing: Must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines; pending licenses not accepted
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Must be included at time of submission
Required Documentation & Compliance
Identification & Verification
- I9 form and attestation
- Two forms of government-issued ID (e.g., driver’s license, social security card, passport)
- Social Security Card
- E-Verify or attestation for Advanced Practice Nurses (APN)
Background Checks
- Background check within 60 days of start including:
- Statewide, county, federal searches
- Education verification (diploma/transcript not accepted as substitute)
- Sex offender search
- Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry search (for TN facilities)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated annually
- Fingerprinting required annually for Home Health RNs, including Mississippi Department of Health fingerprint screening for those traveling to MS (must be completed prior to start, within last 2 years, no pending results)
Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or ARC required for all candidates except some allied health roles
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for specific units (not typically hospice)
- NIH Stroke Certification: Required for all RNs except at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital
- Other certifications (PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM) may be required depending on assignment
- State license: Tennessee license or multistate license required; must be current and valid
Competencies
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Core competency exams (Parts I, II, III) required annually for case managers
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs; no prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
- Photo badge: Strict guidelines for badge photo (passport-style, no hats, no glasses with glare, taken within last 6 months)
- Confidentiality acknowledgment must be signed prior to start
- Job description form must be signed within one year of start
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet job demands
- 3M N-95 mask fit test within 1 year, must pass with no limitations; PAPR hoods not available
- Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no pending results allowed)
- Immunizations:
- TB test (2-step PPD, Q-Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year, updated annually
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive antibody titer; boosters required if titers low or equivocal
- Varicella: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive antibody titer; boosters required if titers low or equivocal
- Hepatitis B: Proof of 3-shot series, positive titer, or signed declination
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required for onsite candidates during flu season (declinations not accepted)
References & Evaluations
- Two recent professional references required
- Performance evaluation required if employed with agency for one year or more
- Skills checklist must be updated annually
