Location: Pomona, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Float: Yes, may float within scope to other ICU/Telemetry units as well as Med Surg/Telemetry
  • Block Schedule Requests: Not accommodated
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (client may cancel up to 3 shifts during assignment)

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • Background check covering last 7 years, including Social Security address check for last 15 years
  • National criminal search, sex offender search, education verification, and other standard checks
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days prior to start
  • State-specific Medi-Cal exclusion search within 30 days prior to start
  • Primary source verification of state license within 30 days prior to start
  • NURSYS verification for RNs
  • Complete 15 years of work history on application, including locations and any time off

Health and Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 12 months clearing employee to work without restrictions
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray per facility protocol
  • Tdap vaccine or declination within 10 years (Td not accepted)
  • Immunity or vaccination documentation for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (vaccination series, titer, or declination)
    • Varicella (vaccination or titer; history of disease not accepted)
    • Hepatitis C (titer accepted)
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or facility-specific declination (required for new candidates starting in September; deadline for working candidates is 11/30)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or facility-specific declination (mask required if declining during respiratory virus season)
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (no instant tests accepted)

Competency and Training Requirements

  • Annual medication/pharmacology competency exam (minimum 80% score)
  • Annual general competency exam (minimum 80% score)
  • Completion of facility-specific orientation packet and acknowledgment prior to start
  • Completion of required facility-specific modules via LMS platform (WorkRamp), including Drug Diversion Module for RNs and LVNs
  • Review and sign facility policies including:
    • Float Policy (for ICU/Telemetry specialties)
    • Timekeeping Acknowledgment
    • Acknowledgement of Responsibility
    • Standard of Care Acknowledgement (for certain units)
    • COVID-19 Exposure Questionnaire
    • Privacy and Security Information
    • Parking Regulations
  • Badge photo on plain blue background required within 72 hours of signing

Additional Notes

  • RTO (Return to Office) up to 7 days allowed, with 1 holiday approved off
  • No specific scrub colors allowed except solid colors; camouflage and character patterns prohibited
  • Fit mask testing required (specific approved masks listed); onsite fit testing may be available with approval
  • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or in-person CPI course required annually for ER RNs
  • References: 2 professional references required, including one from most recent experience
  • Radiation badges no longer provided for new candidates; must be supplied by client if needed
