Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Midshift/Evenings, Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Types of Cases Required: 80
- Average Daily Tray Volume: 700
- Number of Operating Rooms: 72
- Weekend Requirement: No
- On-call Requirement: No
- Floating: Yes, within facility and scope of care only
- Local Radius Rule: 75 miles (locals not accepted)
- Pending State License Accepted: Yes
- Return to Office Restrictions: No more than 7 days absence; within a 13-week contract, 2 or more attendance issues (absences or tardies) considered excessive
- Guaranteed Hours: Minimum 3 shifts per 13 weeks
- Earbuds/Cellphones: Not allowed during shifts
Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Surgical Services
- Years of Experience Required: 2 years (higher requirement applies)
- First-time Travelers: Will review first-time travelers with Trauma I experience and at least 2 years’ experience
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
Certifications & Licenses
- National Certification Required: One of the following:
- CBSPD
- CRST (Through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM)
- BLS: Not required
- State License: Must have valid Missouri license (pending licenses accepted)

- ACLS (AHA only)
- PALS (AHA only)
- NRP (AHA or AAP)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- CPI or MAB (if applicable)
- IV Certification (for LPN/LVN if applicable)

Compliance & Background Checks
- Criminal background check required within 6 months of start (7-year search including statewide and nationwide checks)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required quarterly
- Education verification required prior to start
- Fingerprinting required for Illinois long-term care or rehab assignments (not applicable here)
- State-specific searches required and must be renewed quarterly
- Drug testing required within 1 year of start and must remain valid throughout assignment
- Physical exam required within 1 year of start
- Fit mask testing required and must be renewed annually
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tdap (or declination)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray (with yearly questionnaire)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (required during flu season)
- HIPAA Acknowledgement, Latex Allergy Questionnaire, Confidentiality Form, Hand Hygiene Policy, Fingernail Policy, Dress Code Policy, and Regulatory Compliance Education must be completed and signed prior to start

- Photo for badge required (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions)
- Employment application and references required (two professional references preferred)
- Skills checklist required within 1 year of start (oncology skills checklist if applicable)
- Orientation modules required for RNs and LVNs (completed through WorkRamp prior to start)
- Vehicle registration form required for day shift workers
