Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

• Call Requirement: 10-12 days per month, including likely one weekend per month (may vary with staffing)
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Radiology / Cardiology)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required; accepts first-time travelers
• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Experience Required: EP Lab and Cath Lab experience required

Key Requirements

• Valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport)
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 12 months, updated annually
• Drug screening (10 panel) within 30 days of start
• Required immunizations and/or documentation:

  • Tdap (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunity or boosters if needed
  • Varicella immunity or boosters if needed
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• Photo for badge (passport style) required

Competency Exams & Testing

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80%, two attempts allowed)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (two attempts allowed)
• Pass/Fail testing required for all RNs and Cath Lab Techs
• Candidates must complete competency exams within 30 days of start

Additional Notes

• 2 professional references within 3 years of hire required
• Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation, updated annually
• Various certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM) but ACLS and BLS are mandatory for this role
• Candidates must sign facility-specific job description and exemption forms if applicable

This position is suitable for healthcare professionals with at least 2 years of Radiology/Cardiology experience, including EP Lab and Cath Lab skills, who are comfortable with call responsibilities and required certifications. First-time travel healthcare workers are welcome to apply.
