Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (OR RN) - Travel/Contract

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Employment Type: Travel/Contract


Job Details

  • Shift: Weekday option, 7am-7pm, Monday-Friday with on-call requirements
  • Unit requires previous travel experience
  • Minimum 1 year of specialty experience required
  • Scrubs provided

Required Certifications

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Other certifications may be required as applicable (PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, MAB, NIH Stroke Certification, CPI)

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Prior travel experience is explicitly required

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • I9 verification
  • Driver’s License/State ID
  • E-Verify
  • 7-year background check (including SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender, education verification)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks upon hire
  • Education verification (highest level)
  • Fingerprinting (time sensitive, for certain locations)
  • State license verification (primary source)
  • NURSYS verification
  • Skills checklist and work history verification (7 years)
  • Complete application/resume required

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Fit mask test within 1 year of start (annual renewal required)
  • Adult TDAP vaccine within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • TB questionnaire for positive results (annual renewal)
  • Immunizations or positive titers for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B
    • Varicella
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (declinations not accepted)

Competency Requirements

  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam (minimum 80% score or meet Angoff score)
  • Color blind testing (online version acceptable)
  • Competency exams as applicable (minimum 80% or Angoff score)
  • Annual core testing for subcontractors

Additional Notes

  • Clear headshot photo required for badge
  • Orientation safety manual acknowledgement and HIPAA compliance required
  • Some certifications and competencies are required as applicable based on unit or patient population
