Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (CVOR RN)
• Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, 06:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Includes holiday and call coverage
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Credentials & Certifications

• Licenses:

  • Missouri state nursing license (Primary Source Verification within 60 days of start)
  • NURSYS Verification (RN) within 60 days of start

• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC Provider card required for all RNs
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - Required for CVOR and related critical care areas
  • Other certifications may be required depending on specialty (e.g., PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM)
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) for Psych/Behavioral Health RNs
  • Specialty tech certifications as applicable (e.g., CVOR/Surgical Techs require NBSTSA or NCCT)

Background & Screening Requirements

• 7-year background check within 60 days of start, including:

  • Alias/all names search
  • Counties lived/worked/school
  • National federal criminal search
  • National sex offender search
  • Social Security trace
  • FACIS III/OFAC
  • International background check if candidate traveled outside the USA in last 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG exclusion checks within 60 days of start
• Missouri-specific background checks (MO FCSR or MO Caregiver search) required and must be on file before start
• Drug screening: Negative 7-panel drug test within 60 days of start

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (must be initiated within 48 hours of signing)
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start (specific mask models required)
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years or approved exemption
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray (updated annually)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 MMR vaccines; boosters if needed
  • Hepatitis B series or positive titer (declinations not accepted for new candidates after 7/1/2023)
  • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters if needed
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season Oct 1 - Mar 31)

Documentation & Compliance

• I-9 or attestation proof
• Valid photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• E-Verify proof or attestation
• Employment application with at least 7 years of work history, no gaps over 30 days
• Two professional references within last 2 years (required for non-clinical roles)
• Photo for badge (new candidates only)
• Facility-specific forms including confidentiality agreement, new hire packet, TB survey, and employment eligibility certification
• MO FCSR Worker Registration Form (time sensitive, must be initiated within 48 hours of signing)

Additional Notes

• Background checks and immunizations must be current and compliant before start date
• Some certifications and competencies may be required depending on the specific clinical area or specialty
• Candidates with positive TB tests must provide proof of INH treatment or complete facility-specific INH recommendation
• Candidates failing fit tests must notify supervisor and may have restrictions on COVID patient care
• Religious and medical exemptions for vaccines require facility-specific forms and approval; not all exemptions are accepted
