Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Job - Washington, DC

Position Details

  • Role: X-Ray Technologist
  • Shift: 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (08:00 - 16:30)
  • Work Environment: Medical office setting, day shift only
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Certifications

  • ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) - Required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - Preferred (AHA or ARC)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - Preferred
  • Fluoroscopy Permit - Preferred

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • Required skills:
    • C-Arm procedures
    • Fluoroscopy-guided procedures (e.g., epidural steroid injections, modified barium swallows, radiofrequency ablations)
    • Diagnostic X-ray
  • Preferred skills:
    • Charge experience
    • Cerner electronic health record system

  • 1:1

Vaccination Requirements

  • Flu vaccine required (seasonal vaccination/documentation for 2025-26 flu season)
  • COVID-19 vaccination strongly recommended; declination requires mask-wearing during patient encounters

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • Criminal background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
  • E-Verify and I9 documentation required
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required prior to start and monthly thereafter
  • Education verification for highest degree required by position
  • Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana), updated annually
  • Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience in the last 3 years
  • Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, licenses, and contact information
  • Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually

Health and Safety Requirements

  • Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
  • N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start, updated annually (client may complete on-site if needed)
  • Immunizations and titers required or documentation of immunity for:
    • Measles (Rubeola)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Varicella
    • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or signed declination)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes, with annual questionnaire if prior positive history without treatment
  • Tdap vaccine within last 10 years preferred

Additional Notes

  • Valid driver's license required if driving is an essential job function
  • Facility requires annual acknowledgment of Orientation Safety Manual
  • Medication, pharmacology, and competency exams required within 3 years of start, with minimum passing scores
  • Color blindness testing required (online or in-person)
  • EKG competency exam required for certain specialties (not applicable for this role unless specified)
  • Facility-specific modules (SITELS) must be completed prior to hire date
