Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Omaha, Nebraska.
• 13-week contract.
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30.
• 36-hour weekly option is listed in the source.
• The unit is a 20-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with ortho patients.
• The unit includes patients with behavioral health conditions on the 7th floor; travelers are trained for safety and de-escalation and must be comfortable caring for this population.
• Travelers are first to float and must be prepared to float frequently to meet hospital staffing needs.
• Float scope may include 4CS, 5 West, 6 Neuro, 4/5 Lied, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS, Observation, and SOTU.
• Ratios are 1:5 days and 1:6 nights; night ratios can occasionally be 1:7.
• Drips are required on all floors.
• First timers are not accepted, unless the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center.
• Locals are not accepted; candidate must live more than 100 miles from the facility.
• Pending license is accepted; if the license is not in hand at submission, the traveler will be booked six weeks out.
• 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period are required.
• Travelers must work 2 of 3 major holidays.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Nebraska
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Experience in a(n) Academic Medical Center or Hospital setting
• Comfort taking care of behavioral health patient population
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS
• CPI
