Registered Respiratory Therapist

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Seattle, Washington
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
• 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Floating: all inpatient / acute care areas
• On-call not required

Role Focus

• Peds RRT role
• Patient population: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents
• This is not an ICU-only role; the clinician will work in all ICUs and float to acute / all inpatient areas as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pediatric Respiratory Therapist license in Washington
• Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
• Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Experience working with NICU or PICU patients
• Airways Management
• Vent Management
• BiPAP
• CPAP
• Registered Respiratory Therapist experience

Required Skills

• Medication administration
• O2 therapy
• Suction
• Pulmonary toileting
• Nebulizer

Preferred Qualifications

• Trauma
• Level 1 trauma
• ER
• Teaching/Community Hospital
• Children’s Hospital experience

Preferred Skills

• High frequency jet ventilator
• High frequency oscillator
• EKGs
• Code Repose
• Rapid Response

Scheduling Notes

• Only 3 shifts of RTO can be approved
• No RTO within the first 2 weeks of start
• Traveler must work 2 of the 3 holiday groupings
• NYE coverage is specifically needed
• Thanksgiving coverage is specifically needed
