Job Overview

Location: San Luis Obispo, California
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:30
Hours per week: 36
Contract length: 13 weeks
Float requirement: May float to medical-surgical if needed

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Stepdown (1 year of experience)
Stepdown experience within the last year
Telemetry experience
Experience with Epic

Experience

6 months of cardiac step-down or telemetry experience in the last 2 years

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nursing
Successful completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia Course
Completion of a Critical Care Course

Role Summary

Provides nursing care in the step-down unit
Interprets ECG rhythms and manages care during life-threatening emergencies
Supervises and delegates care to ancillary personnel within scope of practice
