Emergency Room Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Woodward, Oklahoma
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- First-time travelers accepted
- Floating may be required within scope, including to sister facilities
- On-call rotation includes weekend call
- Block scheduling is not available
- Local candidates are not accepted; local radius rule is 75 miles
- Pending state license is not accepted
- Requested time off is limited to 5 days or less
- Contract length: 12 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma
- 2 years of ED - Emergency Department experience
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- Experience in an acute care setting
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS
- ESI
- Driver's License
Schedule and Work Setting
- 10 staffed beds
- Average daily census: 25–30
- Typical staffing ratio: 2.5 on days, 2.5 on nights, 1:5 on weekends
Compliance and Pre-Start Requirements
- Current and valid driver’s license or state-issued ID
- 7-year criminal background check
- Education verification with transcript or diploma
- State license verification
- NURSYS verification
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
- Color blind testing
- Unit-specific competency exam
- Core competency exams I, II, and III
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam
- Fit test
- Physical exam
- Negative TB screening or chest X-ray
- TB questionnaire
- Tdap
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption
- Drug screen
- Two former direct supervisor references
- 10-year work history verification
- Current resume with explanation for employment gaps over 30 days
Additional Notes
- Patient care orientation class is required
- If no EPIC experience within the last 6 months, EPIC class is required before the schedule is assigned
