Job Details

• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year recent experience
• Patient Load: Average 5-7 patients per day (to be confirmed during interview)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Types of Cases: Geriatric population
• First Timers Accepted: Yes
• Certifications Required: BLS (Basic Life Support)
• On-call Requirement: Yes, every 3rd to 4th weekend
• Territory: Up to 60-mile radius from the office/hub
• Locals Accepted: Yes, at travel rate
• License: Must have license in hand
• Special Requirements:

  • Flexibility with territory expected for travelers
  • Timely documentation and communication required
• Dress Code: Scrubs (any color), no jeans
• Technology Provided: iPad provided (cell phone use not allowed)
• Mileage Reimbursement: Yes, at IRS standard rate

Required Background Checks & Compliance

• Background checks must be completed within 90 days of start and updated annually, including:

  • SSN Trace
  • County searches for last 7 years of residence/work/school
  • FACIS Level 1
  • Nationwide Sex Offender Registry
  • Motor Vehicle Records (MVR)
  • Education and Work History Verification
  • State-specific searches as applicable (e.g., Kentucky, Virginia)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 90 days of start
• Fingerprinting may be required depending on state placement (e.g., Connecticut, Ohio) with specific instructions and timelines
• Education verification of highest degree related to profession required
• State-specific background searches must be run within 90 days of start

Certifications & Competencies

• BLS certification required (AHA, ARC, Military accepted)
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (annual)
• State License verification (primary source) within 90 days of start and upon expiration
• NURSYS verification for applicable professions (RN, LPN/LVN, AP) within 90 days of start
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
• Competency Exam as applicable to profession/specialty

Facility-Specific & Health Requirements

• Proof of current auto insurance required if job includes driving (home health positions)
• Completion of Acceptable Use Policy and Agency Background Attestation prior to start
• Flu and COVID-19 vaccination or facility-specific declination forms required during flu season
• Physical exam within last 12 months (not required annually)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
• Annual TB questionnaire required
• Immunizations or titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• 9 Panel Drug Screen within last 12 months (instant acceptable)

Employment History & References

• Full 7 years of work history required on application with no gaps
• Employment history verification for 7 years must be completed within 90 days of start
• Professional references required:

  • 2 for Travel, Allied, Per Diem Acute Care
  • 1 for Per Diem Non-Acute Care
• References must be recent (within 2 years) and for some states completed within 90 days of start
