Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, Monday to Friday, 5x8 hours (9:00 PM - 4:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Job Description
- Position: Sterile Processing Tech
- Start Date: ASAP
- No on-call required
- Local residents within 50 miles are not eligible for this travel contract
- First-time travelers accepted
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician
- Sterile Processing Technician experience within the last year

Compliance and Documentation Requirements
Background Checks
- Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years
- Includes SSN Trace, Death Master Index, Counties, Nationwide, National Sex Offender, FACIS Level 3, Education Verification, MVR (if applicable), and international background search if applicable
- Background checks must be updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated monthly
Health and Safety
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating fitness to work
- Fit mask test required for travel candidates (valid within 1 year), updated annually
- Immunizations and tests required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer with acceptable alternatives
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer with acceptable alternatives
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
- COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant tests acceptable)
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
- Other certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) as applicable per clinical track (not required for this role)
Competencies
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Competency exams required as applicable by profession/specialty
Additional Requirements
- Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required
- Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Respiratory safety clearance required for travel candidates, medically cleared annually
- WA State Patrol Search and other state-specific background checks as required by law for Washington placements
Notes
- No weekends required
- No on-call duties
- Candidates must comply with all facility-specific and state-specific documentation and background check requirements
- Returning candidates with less than 30-day gap may have some background checks waived if current at another facility
