Job Opportunity: CVPICU Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Position Overview

• Specialty: Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care (CVPICU)
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
• Shift: Night shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (19:00 - 7:00)
• Guaranteed hours: Yes
• Weekend shifts: 6 weekends in a 6-week schedule
• Rotating day/night shifts typically on a 6-week cadence, subject to unit needs
• Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs
• No block scheduling accommodation
• Locals accepted
• On-call required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington
• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience working with pediatric patients
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Scheduling Notes

• Scheduling weeks run Monday through Sunday
• Night shift travelers may start night shift the day before orientation (RTO) begins
• Only pre-approved contract shifts guaranteed off

Additional Requirements & Notes

• Photo for badge required within 72 hours of contract signing; must be on a blue background with no hats or headwear
• Completion of facility-specific training modules prior to start (approx. 8 hours)
• Math test required onsite upon arrival; remediation allowed if failed
• EKG test required prior to start; remediation process available if needed
• Meal waiver agreement required only if waiving second meal period (not mandatory)
• Annual background and health document renewals required for extensions or returning candidates if gap between contracts is less than 6 months
• COVID vaccine strongly recommended but not required
